Since my last post that was full of venting and serious tone, there has been time spent on (practicing) patience and playing. We have made strides in our to-do list, not close to completion but that is where the patience comes in. We have submitted the kids' passport information and gotten closer to settling on a date to get our physicals. The playing has been the SNOW!! I mean snow, finally! It has been so dry and we really needed a good dumping!! I personally would've loved more of it- a snow day for more playing but I will take what I can get! It seems I am enjoying the little things a lot more like snow and spending time with family as I know those big, little things will be less frequent if we move!

Roller coaster...
Truth be told- this is such an exciting (potential) adventure for us but truth be told it really is a roller coaster ride of emotions and stress- a ride that struggles, at times, to stay on the tracks!! The Ibus (Ibu means mother in Indonesian and the group of amazing ladies there are dubbed "The Ibus"), the Ibus have described said "roller coaster" and how the "ride" increases and becomes more dynamic as the transfer process moves on! Well, they are totally right! The list of to-dos, must-dos, do we?, how do we?, when do we? etc. is very overwhelming at times- ok most times!
Mike received the list of next steps in the transfer process today and the paperwork that correlates with these steps almost threw our roller coaster off the tracks! Soooo many questions to be answered, more pictures to be taken and more flights to schedule! I am not complaining- merely venting- I check myself, especially as I type and remind myself how lucky we are (and realize that this will be apart our life there)!!! Even if we don't go for some reason be it health related etc. at least we made it this far! We are blessed! Mike and I keep saying "one step at a time".
So that being said we await our itinerary to travel to AZ, where our future will be determined by the results of our physicals. I hope that we are as in as good of shape as we feel and hope the results reflect that.
As always, to be continued!!!

Another step taken...
Another step taken today to hopefully bring us closer to our new adventure, Mike turned in his signed offer. We giggled as the offer required two witness signatures and a comment was made that they probably requested the signatures to make sure that Mike was of sound mind accepting the offer to take himself and family all the way around the world to live in the jungle! :) Funny!! Thank you to our dear friends and neighbors for acknowledging his sanity!
It's amazing how everyday and every step taken brings feelings of excitement and sadness, all at the same time!! From missing family and friends, our dog, the house we brought our babies home to, to the opportunity to stay home with my kiddos, see my hubby more and travel the world!! A tornado of emotions!! This is something I accept and embrace as I know that this is the opportunity of a lifetime!!!
Next step? The next step is for Mike and me to go to Arizona to get physicals. We hope to see some of Mike's family while we are out there. Once this is completed then the steps will become way more abundant with more urgency and attention- the most important being telling and preparing the kiddos!!
Again, to be continued!!!....

Offer and sadness...
Finally received an offer!!!! So very excited! The offer will be returned tomorrow! I hope to also get one of the condos we looked at that has an amazing view of Mt Zaagkam! Our joy has been somewhat checked and saddened as Mason has been diagnosed with asthma today! I almost cried hearing the news! The specialist said Mason will be good with medication and diligence!
The next step in the process is for Mike and me to get physicals. Then the fun of packing and organizing a house that we've lived in for almost ten years will begin!
Although we will miss our family and friends, our family is in need and excited for this adventure- a Gines Family Adventure!!

Opportunity...
During this time of waiting and angst to hear on the job, the kiddos and I are going to take this "Opportunity" to get organized and go through some things for the Goodwill. If we go or not there are clothes, toys etc. that could be re-used by someone else! Here's to happy cleaning!
